Hi I was wondering if you could help me. I am trying to understand the sizing of a dress pattern i bought (Butterick Retro B5708) I believe it is the same one you made for Nitty to wear to the dance. She looks to be the size of my daughter who I am going to try making this for. I can't figure out what size to do, so can you tell me what size you used? Also, I am in the U.S. if that matters.
Howdy! I think from memory she cut out the smallest size on top, tapering out to an 8 on the bottom. Best thing to do is grab a tape measure and measure your daughter to see which size she fits best! Pattern sizing is in its own little world and does not correspond to sizing for store bought clothes. Nitty is a very small framed gal! Hope this helps :) xx
